But scientists claim that children who have low levels of self-control at three are more likely to have health and money problems and a criminal record by the age of 32, regardless of background and IQ. Researchers from Britain, the U.S. and New Zealand analysed data from two large studies in which children completed a range of physical tests and interviews to assess genetic and environmental factors that can shape their lives.

Haggard's Tough Talk InterviewThe story of Ted Haggard — disgraced New Life megachurch founder turned insurance salesman turned founder of St. James Church in Colorado Springs — got a little thicker and stranger with a profile in GQ magazine's February issue. In the article, largely reported during a camping trip with two of his sons and GQ writer Kevin Roose, Haggard confides he never had "sex sex" with Mike Jones, then a male prostitute, during a three-year liaison that erupted in scandal in November 2006. Haggard offers a few details in GQ about the nature of their trysts, his purchase five or six times of crystal meth and use of straight and gay porn.

Military To Unveil Homosexual Indoctrination PlanOfficials say Pentagon leaders will roll out a plan Friday that is expected to give the military services about three months to train their forces on the new law allowing "gays" to serve openly. The plan, they said, will outline the personnel, recruiting and other regulations that must be changed. It will describe three levels of training for the troops, their commanders and the key administrators, recruiters and other leaders who will have to help implement the changes. Under that training schedule, full implementation of the law could begin later this summer. Once the training is complete, the president and his top military advisers must certify that lifting the ban won't hurt troops' ability to fight. Sixty days after certification, the law would take effect.
