Proverbs 22:3 NLT

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it))) --

Toxic fumes given off by rotting plants kill 31 wild boars

Tweet British holidaymakers have been warned to be on their guard against a thick blanket of slimy ‘killer seaweed’ suffocating the beaches of northern France. The alert comes after the carcasses of 31 wild boars were found on one beach on the Brittany coast. All are thought to have been killed by toxic gas – as dangerous as cyanide – released by the seaweed as it rots. Beaches around the Morieux river estuary, where the dead boars were found, are...

Stinky Mystery Waste Washes Up On Virginia Beaches

Tweet Virginia Beach has a stinky mystery. Over the weekend, a smelly waste washed up on beaches just west of the Lynnhaven Fishing Pier. A city health department inspector determined the waste wasn’t feces. But the source isn’t known. City environmental health manager Erin Sutton tells The Virginian-Pilot that weekly water testing will be conducted Tuesday near the site to determine whether there’s anything that might make swimming or wading a risk. Sutton says the waste could have been dead...

Freak Science: South Korean scientists create glowing dog

Tweet South Korean scientists said on Wednesday they have created a glowing dog using a cloning technique that could help find cures for human diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, Yonhap news agency reported. A research team from Seoul National University (SNU) said the genetically modified female beagle, named Tegon and born in 2009, has been found to glow fluorescent green under ultraviolet light if given a doxycycline antibiotic, the report said....

Britains orchards bear fruit six weeks early

Tweet Apple growers are looking forward to a bumper crop, as this years harvest will be the earliest ever recorded in Britain. The record growth, which sees the harvest starting now on some farms, results from the combination of a freezing winter and very hot spring.Last winters sub-zero temperatures forced orchards to lie dormant for longer, allowing the fruit trees to re-charge their batteries. The extreme cold combined with Aprils unseasonal heatwave means apples have bloomed nearly six weeks early....

Evidence Found for Undiscovered Comet That May Threaten Earth

A surprise meteor shower spotted in February was likely caused by cosmic "bread crumbs" dropped by an undiscovered comet that could potentially pose a threat to Earth, astronomers announced today (July 27). The tiny meteoroids that streaked through Earth's atmosphere for a few hours on Feb. 4 represent a previously unknown meteor shower, researchers said. The "shooting stars" arrived from the direction of the star Eta Draconis, so the shower is called the February Eta Draconids, or FEDs for short. The bits of debris appear to have been shed by a long-period comet. Long-period comets whiz by the sun very infrequently, so it's tough to predict when they last cruised through our neck of the woods — and when they'll come back, researchers said. That uncertainty is cause for some concern in this case,..

Jesus’ apostle’s tomb unearthed in Turkey

An Italian professor has announced the apparent discovery of the tomb of St. Philip, one of Jesus Christ’s apostles, at the ancient city of Hierapolis in the Aegean province of Denizli. The discovery of the grave of the biblical saint, who was killed by the Romans 2,000 years ago, will attract immense attention around the world, said Francesco D’Andria. St. Philip, one of the 12 apostles, came to Hierapolis 2,000 years ago to spread the Christianity before being killed by the Romans, the professor said. D’Andria has been leading archeological...

J'lem pride parade to mark 2nd anniversary of TA attack

More than 5,000 marchers are expected to participate in Jerusalem’s 10th annual Gay Pride Parade on Thursday afternoon. Open House Executive Director, Yonatan Gher, called Thursday a “combined social struggle,” which will have at least three distinct protests imbuing the city with the air of social fervor. Indeed, protesters will include the doctors marching towards Jerusalem, students and families camped out in tents across the city, and thousands of gay-rights activists marching downtown. He estimated that the gay pride parade could...

US fails to halt slide towards debt default

A day of volatile trading saw gold touch a new high of $1,630, the FTSE 100 fall more than 1pc, the Dow Jones drop 1.6pc and US government bonds sold off as the world's eyes again focused on a deeply divided Washington. President Barack Obama, as well as the Republican House of Representatives and the Democratic Senate, are running out of time to agree to lift the country's $14.3 trillion debt ceiling. The US Treasury has said that it won't be able to pay all its bills by next Tuesday, raising the spectre of the country's first major default in...

Is The Iraqi Dinar Worthless Paper Or Maker Of Millionaires?

Dozens of people have signed up for tax consultations with me over the years looking for a windfall profit on the U.S. government revaluation of the Iraqi dinars back into U.S. dollars. In other words, these were people holding dinars who were hoping they could exchange them for dollars again. Most dinar investors are current and ex-military,..
