Proverbs 22:3 NLT

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

A plausible explanation for the many sightings of twin suns in the sky, plus observations on the many strange phenomena, civil and economic unrest, and bizarre weather patterns that we have experienced thus far in 2011 and which are all connected to the Local Interstellar Cloud and parallel dimensions

U.S. likely to get second rating downgrade: Merrill

NEW YORK – The United States will likely suffer the loss of its triple-A credit rating from another major rating agency by the end of this year due to concerns over the deficit, Bank of America Merrill Lynch forecasts. The trigger would be a likely failure by Congress to agree on a credible long-term plan to cut the U.S. deficit, the bank said in a research note published on Friday. A second downgrade — either from Moody’s or Fitch — would follow Standard & Poor’s downgrade in August on concerns about the government’s budget deficit and rising debt burden. A second loss of the country’s top credit rating would be an additional blow to the sluggish U.S. economy, Merrill said. “The credit rating agencies have strongly suggested that further rating cuts are likely if Congress does not come up with a credible long-run...

Central banks keeping gold in their vaults

CENTRAL banks across the world, Australia included, seem to have decided to sit on their gold. The era of governments losing faith in gold -- which led Australia to sell off 167 tonnes in 1997 at an average of $US350 an ounce (against its present value of more than $US1600/oz) -- is over. In 1999, 14 of Europe's central banks forged an agreement to ensure orderly disposal of their gold stocks, and hundreds of tonnes subsequently went into the market. This was after the Dutch had sold 360 tonnes in early 1997 and the Belgians 203 tonnes.

Sen. McCain Says U.S. May Consider Military Action in Syria

SOUTHERN SHUNEH, Jordan – U.S. Senator John McCain said Sunday that military action to protect civilians in Syria might be considered now that NATO's air campaign in Libya is ending. However, President Barack Obama's administration has made clear it has no appetite for military intervention in Syria -- a close ally of Iran that sits on Israel's border -- and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton noted Sunday that the Syrian opposition has not called for such action as President Bashar Assad's regime. "Now that military...

Christian faces losing home for opposing gay weddings in churches

A housing association manager faces losing his home because of his Christian views about gay weddings in churches. Father-of-two Adrian Smith, 54, was demoted and had his pay drastically cut after he posted comments on his private Facebook page in which he said that celebrating same-sex weddings in churches would be ‘an equality too far’. He was hauled before bosses at the taxpayer-funded Trafford Housing Trust in Greater Manchester and found...

Meteorite sparks search and rescue mission

Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded after a pilot was among several who reported what they thought was an aircraft crashing into the sea at Whitstable. After fire-fighters from Whitstable and Herne Bay searched the area, no trace of the aircraft could be found. Air traffic controllers told rescue crews they did not have any planes missing, so the search was called off and...
