Conspiracy Facts Now Includes Targeting Christian Groups By Obama Admin - #14 The Targeting Of Christian Groups
We are increasingly hearing from the Obama administration and some members of Congress that we need to be really concerned about "homegrown terrorists" and "Christian extremists". For example, during a recent Congressional hearing U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee warned that "Christian militants" might try to "bring down the country" and that such groups need to be investigated. In addition, according to a shocking document obtained by Oath Keepers, the FBI is now instructing store owners to report many new forms of "suspicious activity" to them. According to the document, "suspicious activity" now includes making "extreme religious statements" and believing in "radical theology". Not only that, a Department of Homeland Security report on "right wing extremism" from April 2009 lists the following people as potential terrorists.... -those that believe in "end times" prophecies -those that believe abortion is wrong -those that stockpile food, ammunition or weapons -those that are against same-sex marriage -those that believe in "New World Order" conspiracy theories...

Attack Of The Killer Ravens: Flocks Are Suddenly Slaughtering Lambs - What Is Going On? High in the darkening sky, a flock of enormous ravens swoop and swirl - narrow black wings stretched wide, heads protruding forward and huge hairy beaks scything through the air. Every few minutes they let out deep, throaty, honking calls as they soar effortlessly, circling around until, finally, they spot their prey and swoop. But forget dormice, voles or even small furry rabbits; these sinister looking birds are feasting on something far larger - newborn lambs. Throughout Britain, traumatised farmers have reported a sudden and disturbing rise in the number of livestock being attacked by ravens.

As It Was In The Days Of Lot: Attendees At Prominent Pro-Pedophilia Conference Horrified By Sessions
Pro-family advocates who attended a controversial pro-pedophilia conference in Baltimore last week say they were profoundly shaken by what they saw and heard. “As a former law enforcement officer I’ve dealt with situations involving suicide, homicide and other violence. That said, I’ve never felt the level of spiritual oppression and evil that I felt in that room,” Liberty Counsel Action Vice President Matt Barber told LifeSiteNews. “These mental health ‘professionals,’ and self-described pedophile and ‘gay’ activists were inexplicably able to cavalierly discuss, in an almost dismissive way, the idea of child rape,” Barber said. “They used flowery, euphemistic psychobabble to give quasi-scientific cover to a discussion about the worst kind of perversion.”

Pentagon Quake Nightmare: Fukushima On The Mississippi Will Leave Citizens Fending For ThemselvesIn May, the federal government simulated an earthquake so massive, it killed 100,000 Midwesterners instantly, and forced more than 7 million people out of their homes. At the time, National Level Exercise 11 went largely unnoticed; the scenario seemed too far-fetched — states like Illinois and Missouri are in the middle of a tectonic plate, not at the edge of one. A major quake happens there once every several generations. But Tuesday’s earthquake along the East Coast is a reminder that disasters can hit where they’re least expected. And if the nightmare scenario comes, government officials worry that state and federal authorities won’t be able to handle the “cascading failures” that follow. The results of May’s disaster exercise won’t be released to the public. But privately, these government officials say they’re glad that this earthquake was just a drill — and not the big one. Especially because there are so many nuclear power plants in the fault zone.

Fox News' Parent Company Investing In 'Gay Marriage'
The owner of a cable news channel is investing in homosexual marriage, and one conservative activist says that shows the direction the network is taking on the issue. News Corporation, the parent company of Fox News, is preparing to publish a magazine devoted to planning "gay" and lesbian weddings with the debut issue of Wedding Pride next month. Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) deems it sad that the news operation trusted by many Americans is supporting homosexual marriage. But he says it is an indication of the direction the network is headed.

Son Of Sam Serial Killer: I'm Free Already
Convicted serial killer David Berkowitz -- who terrorized New York in the late 1970s, killing six people and wounding seven -- will not seek parole during his next opportunity in May, Berkowitz told FoxNews.com exclusively. In a two-page letter to FoxNews.com, Berkowitz, also known as "Son of Sam," said he has "no interest" in parole thanks to forgiveness by Jesus Christ. Berkowitz, 58, has previously been denied parole five times. "I have no interest in parole and no plans to seek release," Berkowitz wrote FoxNews.com in an Aug. 6 letter. “If you could understand this, I am already a 'free man.' I am not saying this jokingly. I really am. Jesus Christ has already forgiven and pardoned me, and I believe this."

Scientists Who Cloned Dolly The Sheep Plan To Clone Endangered Scottish WildcatsOne of the scientists responsible for cloning Dolly the sheep 15 years ago is developing a new cloning technique that he believes could help save endangered species. The work would initially benefit the Scottish wildcat, a relative of the domestic cat that lives in the woods of the Scottish Highlands. But if it works, it could be a new way to clone several kinds of animals. The Scottish wildcat, Felis silvestris silvestris, is related to other species of wildcats in Europe, but has been wiped out in England and Wales. Only about 400 animals remain, according to researchers at the Edinburgh Science Triangle. Researchers believe the cats could be extinct by 2050. The purity of their gene pool is threatened by interbreeding with feral domestic cats, which has sparked an effort to spray the cats for free. It turns out that this hybridization could actually be the wildcats’ salvation, according to embryologist Bill Ritchie.

Powerful Hurricane Irene poses dire threat to Eastern USA

BUXTON, N.C. (WABC) -- The governors of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have ordered states of emergency and Mayor Bloomberg outlined New York City's plan as Hurricane Irene threatened to slam into the area this weekend. The monstrous hurricane tightened its aim on the Eastern Seaboard on Thursday, threatening 65 million people along a shore-hugging path from North Carolina to New England. One of the nation's top experts called it his "nightmare" scenario. The Category 3 storm with winds of 115 mph - the threshold for a major hurricane - would be the strongest to strike the East Coast in seven years, and people were already getting out of the way. Tens of thousands fled North Carolina beach towns, farmers pulled up their crops, and the Navy ordered ships to sea so they could endure the...

Greece forced to tap emergency fund

In a move described as the "last stand for Greek banks", the embattled country's central bank activated Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) for the first time on Wednesday night. Raoul Ruparel of Open Europe told The Telegraph: "The activation of the so-called ELA looks to be the last stand for Greek banks and suggests they are running alarmingly short of quality collateral usually used to obtain funding." He added: "This kicks off another huge round of nearly worthless assets being shifted from the books of private banks onto books...

Fresh fears of Greek default as Finns hold out in collateral dispute

Finland, meanwhile, shows no sign of backing down. German Chancellor Angela Merkel also unexpectedly cancelled a trip to Russia in early September to shepherd through...

Market crash 'could hit within weeks', warn bankers

Insurance on the debt of several major European banks has now hit historic levels, higher even than those recorded during financial crisis caused by the US financial group's implosion nearly three years ago. Credit default swaps on the bonds of Royal Bank of Scotland, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo, among others, flashed warning signals on Wednesday. Credit default swaps (CDS) on RBS were trading at 343.54 basis points, meaning the annual cost to insure £10m of the state-backed lender's bonds against default is now £343,540. The cost of insuring RBS bonds is now higher than before the taxpayer was forced to step in and rescue the bank in October 2008, and shows the recent dramatic downturn in sentiment among credit investors towards banks. "The problem is a shortage of liquidity – that is what...

Earthquake Listed at 5.8 Rattles East Coast From Virginia to New Hampshire

The largest East Coast quake in memory rattled nerves and buildings from Martha's Vineyard to to North Carolina, prompted the evacuation of Congressional buildings, slowed rail and air traffic, and forced two nuclear reactors offline. The earthquake, estimated to be a 5.8 magnitude, sent people pouring out of office buildings, hospitals, the Pentagon and the State Department when it struck at 1:51 p.m. The pillars of the capitol in Washington, D.C., shook. Alarms sounded in the FBI and Department of Justice buildings, and some flooding was reported on an upper floor of the Pentagon as a result of the quake. Parks and sidewalks in Washington were packed with people who fled their buildings. All of the monuments along the National Mall have been closed. Police on horseback kept people a safe distance...

Magnitude 5.5 earthquake hits southern Colorado
A magnitude 5.3 earthquake has shaken southern Colorado near the New Mexico border and a sheriff's dispatcher says there have reports of rockslides along a highway following the quake.   -

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake has shaken southern Colorado near the New Mexico border and a sheriff's dispatcher says there have reports of rockslides along a highway following the quake.
The National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo., says the quake was recorded at about 11:46 p.m. MDT Monday about five miles west of Cokedale, Colo. It follows two smaller quakes that hit the area earlier in the day — a magnitude 4.6 quake was recorded at 5:30 p.m. and a magnitude 2.9 quake just before 8 a.m.
U.S. Geological Survey geophysicist Jessica Sigala says the quake has the potential of causing minimal damage. A Las Animas County Sheriff's Office dispatcher says she has received calls from "tons" of residents who felt the shaking.
Cokedale is about 190 miles south of Denver.

Found: The Methuselah Genes
Scientists have discovered the “Methuselah” genes whose lucky carriers have a much improved chance of living to 100 even if they indulge in an unhealthy lifestyle. The genes appear to protect people against the effects of smoking and bad diet and can also delay the onset of age-related illnesses such as cancer and heart disease by up to three decades. The so-called Methuselah genes — named after the biblical patriarch who lived to 969 — are thought to include ADIPOQ, which is found in about 10% of young people but in nearly 30% of people living past 100. The CETP gene and the ApoC3 gene are found in 10% of young people, but in about 20% of centenarians. Some of those genes were discovered by a research group at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, led by Prof Nir Barzilai, following an analysis of the genes of over 500 centenarians and their offspring.

Several well-known researchers recently made unexpected arguments on pedophilia at an academic conference in Baltimore. Liberty Counsel Action's Matt Barber attended the conference and says he felt he was on a different planet, as the presenting professionals aimed to remove pedophilia from the American Psychiatric Association's (APA) "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders," (DSM). That would mean that pedophilia would no longer be considered a mental disorder. "The entire focus of the event was on the victimhood of the pedophile," Barber accounts. There was "very little concern for the children who are the victims of t
hese individuals when they are raped, who these individuals lust after."

Amy Winehouse: Latest Victim Of The "27 Club" Mega-Ritual?
The 27 Club (or Forever 27) is the name given to the group of highly influential stars who died at the young age of 27. Although there are dozens of artists in the 27 Club, the most notable are Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain. Most of the members of this club led somewhat troubled lives and the causes of their deaths were surrounded by a shroud of mystery. Indeed, investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain quickly leads to unanswered questions and strange abnormalities. No autopsies, no definitive causes of death and vague police reports seem to be the norm in these high-profile cases. In short, we can find in these untimely deaths everything required to generate “alternative theories” involving murder.

Were 8 Chinese fighter jets within minutes of reaching Taiwan's capital?

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) yesterday denied a news report saying that eight Chinese fighter aircraft had penetrated the airspace around the Diaoyutai Islands on June 29 and were within range of Taipei for 43 minutes. The report, published yesterday in the Chinese-language Apple Daily, would, if confirmed, raise the severity of the incident, which was first reported by the Chinese-language United Daily News late last month. The United Daily News claimed that two Chinese Sukhoi-27 aircraft chasing a US U-2 surveillance aircraft had briefly crossed the centerline over the Taiwan Strait, prompting Taipei to scramble F-16 aircraft to push the Chinese fighters back to their side of the line. Later reports said that given the hig/

Glenn Beck's Israel tour raises eyebrows

Reporting from Jerusalem— Perhaps it was only a matter of time before conservative American commentator Glenn Beck, viewed by many supporters as a modern-day prophet, brought his messianic message to Jerusalem. But even in an ancient city that has seen its share of religious enthusiasts, Beck's high-profile Holy Land tour this week, culminating Wednesday in a rally just a stone's throw from the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock mosque, is raising eyebrows. Before Beck's arrival, most Israelis were unfamiliar with the former Fox...

Cornell University scientist: Comet Elenin will continue intensifying Earth's very strong seismicity until August-October, 2011.

I here demonstrate empirically my georesonator concept in which tidally induced magnification of Earth masses' resonance causes seismicity. To that end, I show that all strong (~M6+) earthquakes of 2010 occurred during the Earth's long (t>3 day) astronomical alignments within our solar system. I then show that the same holds true for all very strong (~M8+) earthquakes of the decade of 2000s. Finally, the strongest (M8.6+) earthquakes of the past century are shown to have occurred during the Earth's multiple long alignments, whereas half...

Magnitude 7.5 quake hits Vanuatu in Pacific: USGS

It said the quake, which struck at 3:55 a.m. local time on Sunday (12:55 p.m. EDT on Saturday), was centered 38 miles southwest of the town of Port-Vila and was quite shallow, at a depth of 25.2 miles. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the major quake had not triggered a Pacific-wide tsunami but said: "Earthquakes of this size sometimes generate local tsunamis that...

Assad warns West to keep out of Syria

Damascus // Syria's president, Bashar Al Assad, last night rejected calls from the United States and Europe to stand aside and warned military intervention would have "huge consequences", in a defiant speech to the nation, his fourth since a popular uprising began in March. Speaking to state-run television in a pre-recorded interview, he brushed aside demands from hundreds of thousands of anti-regime demonstrators and western nations that he step down, saying he was "appointed by the Syrian people". "I'm not to discuss these words [about...

Scared Mexicans try under-the-skin tracking devices

QUERETARO, Mexico — Of all the strange circumstances surrounding the violent abduction last year of Diego Fernandez de Cevallos, the Mexican power broker and former presidential candidate known here as “Boss Diego,” perhaps nothing was weirder than the mysterious tracking chip that the kidnappers allegedly cut from his body. Lurid Mexican media accounts reported that an armed gang invaded Fernandez’s home, sliced open his arm with a pair of scissors and extracted a satellite-enabled tracking device, leaving the chip and...

'UFO' Over Chinese Airport Just an Unusual Cloud

According to the newspaper Shanghai Daily, air traffic at a major Chinese airport was temporarily halted on Wednesday (Aug. 17) — not because of a power failure or bad weather, but because of a potentially threatening Unidentified Floating Object. Details about the incident remain sketchy, but someone (it's not clear whether it was pilots, air traffic controllers or people on the ground
