Proverbs 22:3 NLT

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

Strange Sounds Around The World : In Sky, On Earth, Undergrond -
The strange sounds around the world phenomenon is still sweeping the web. As people continue to upload videos of the sound they heard, others speculate as it what exactly the sound is. UFO's? Sounds of the Apocalypse? HAARP?

No one seems to know the answer and no one seems to know where the sounds are coming from either. It appears the creepy, groaning noise can come from the sky, the earth, or even underground like in Russia.

Access report warns of 'Eurogeddon'

The latest quarterly Business Outlook by Deloitte Access Economics forecasts that Europe will be the key to growth globally and locally this year. The report, titled "Eurogeddon", warns that 2012 could easily bring a deep recession and widespread bank failures in Europe. Deloitte Access Economics director Chris Richardson says there is a 50-50 chance that Europe will muddle through the crisis. "If it doesn't then yes, Australia has something like a rerun of the global financial crisis - unemployment up, profits down, Government budget hit for six...

Greek debt talks stall over interest rate on bonds

Negotiators from the International Institute for Finance representing banks and other creditors left Athens after a marathon session ended in the small hours of Saturday without a breakthrough, though talks continued by telephone. Sources close to the dispute said there is little danger that the IIF will walk out and precipitate the first sovereign default in western Europe since the Second World War. A deal is needed to clear the way for the next round of EU-IMF aid and ensure that Athens can meet a €14.5bn (£12bn) debt payment in...

US miffed as Israel hints at unilateral strike on Iran N-sites

LONDON: Israel could launch a unilateral strike on Iran's nuclear facilities without much prior notice to its closest ally for over 60 year, US, according to information reaching here from Tel Aviv. While the Israeli leadership has signaled support for US president Barack Obama in his re-election bid by urging Jewish voters in America to vote for him, Israel's defence minister Ehud Barak is said to have told general Martin Dempsey, chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff, that Israel will give the US no more than 12 hours notice before it ventures to...

Uproar after Jewish American newspaper publisher suggests Israel assassinate Barack Obama

NEW YORK - The owner and publisher of the Atlanta Jewish Times, Andrew Adler, has suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu consider ordering a Mossad hit team to assassinate U.S. President Barack Obama so that his successor will defend Israel against Iran. Adler, who has since apologized for his article, listed three options for Israel to counter Iran’s nuclear weapons in an article published in his newspaper last Friday. The first is to launch a pre-emptive strike against Hamas and Hezbollah, the second is to attack...

Early life of a supervolcano: Scientists study world's fastest-growing volcano to find out what causes deadly eruptions (but don't worry, it won't go off in our lifetime)

With the last eruption exploding from a supervolcano occurring 74,000 years ago, it is perhaps understandable that scientists don't fully understand how they work. But that could all be about to change thanks to a team of experts in Bolivia. An international group of scientists are studying the country's Uturuncu, which is the world's fastest-inflating volcano. And by studying the volcano, more light is being shed on how supervolcanoes became so powerful. At Uturuncu - which last erupted 300,000 years ago - the scientists are able to observe in real time...

Christians in Iran, Syria face rising persecution

There has been a wave of violence targeting Iranian and Syrian Christians over the past month, say Christian news reports. In addition, Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who has been on death row since 2010 for seeking to register his home-based church, refused to renounce his Christian beliefs in exchange for his release from prison. He was also jailed for questioning the role of Islam as the dominant form of religious instruction in his children’s school. According to a report on the website of the International Christian news...
