Proverbs 22:3 NLT

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

#1 Policy Think Tank In The World Says Prepare Now For Genetically Engineered Homosexual Communities
Larry, a pediatrician, and David, a wills lawyer, meet in their late 20s, fall in love, and marry on June 15, 2025 in Indianapolis. Soon after they want a child and come to realize that they would prefer to have a male child that shares their sexual orientation. Reproductive cloning won’t do—the FDA hasn’t yet certified it as safe and effective. But gene studies show a strong correlation between five genes and sexual orientation in both males and females. Larry and David discuss with their doctors the feasibility of screening the embryos they create for male genes linked to a homosexual orientation. The clinic doctors are experts in embryo screening and alteration, but cannot guarantee that the resulting embryos will in fact turn out to be homosexual. To increase the certainty, they will insert additional “gay gene” sequences in the embryos. Embryos not used will be frozen for later use or for stem cell technology to create eggs from Larry’s skin cells so that the resulting child would be the genetic offspring of both Larry and David.

CNN: US preparing military contingencies for Syria

The United States has begun an internal review of its military capabilities vis-a-vis Syria despite remaining committed to diplomatic and economic pressure on Damascus, CNN's "Security Clearance" blog reported on Tuesday. The report did not specify whether the White House had ordered the review or if it was initiated in the Pentagon. One senior US official told CNN that the US military "would not be doing its job if it did not put some ideas on the table," adding that "absolutely no decisions have been made on military support for Syria." Senior officials reiterated to the cable news channel that the US's position remains focused on diplomatic and sanctions-based actions but said the preliminary military planning was being done for the eventuality that US President Barack Obama asked for a military option.

Iran: We can attack U.S. interests "anywhere"

The Iranian ambassador to Russia reportedly said Wednesday that his country has the means to attack U.S. interests "anywhere in the world." Ambassador Seyed Mahmoud-Reza Sajjadi told reporters in Moscow that it would only exercise such capability if attacked by the United States, according to the Reuters news agency. "The Americans know what kind of country Iran is. They are well aware of our people's unity," Sajjadi said. "And that's why Iran is fully able to deliver retaliatory strikes on the United States anywhere in the world." Sajjadi also said that...

Gay marriage fight may hinge on Supreme Court's Anthony Kennedy

Reporting from Washington— The Supreme Court has nine justices, but if the constitutional fight over same-sex marriage reaches them this year, the decision will probably come down to just one: a California Republican and Reagan-era conservative who has nonetheless written the court's two leading gay rights opinions. JusticeAnthony M. Kennedy, 75, often holds the court's deciding vote on the major issues that divide its liberals and conservatives. More often than not, that vote has swung the court to the right. But on gay rights, Kennedy has...

Greek debt not sustainable with 70 percent haircut - S&P

Private-sector bond holders currently account for only a small part of Greece's creditors since most of the country's debt has migrated to the hands of the European Central Bank and other official institutions, S&P analyst Frank Gill said in a webcast with clients. "In our original estimate, which was made two years ago, at that time debt-to-GDP would have been restored to a far more sustainable level," Gill said. "But because only a small subcomponent of investors are actually taking the haircut and the official sector is not, or only partially, then the...

'Cyborg' moth can be steered with electric neural probe - and could be used as tiny spy

Researchers at MIT have successfully implanted a 'neural probe' into a fist-sized moth, and can 'steer' the moth using electrical signals. The scientists can tell the moths to turn left and right, and even how hard to turn - much as you might steer a remote control plane. It's the first fruit of an $18.5 million U.S. government project aimed at 'controlling' insects using electrical signals. The technology could be used one day to use insects as tiny spies. Part of the funding comes from the military. The 'neural probe' is attached to a radio receiver and a battery...
