Friend of mine sent this to me a note:
"My brother works for the Airlines...he called me because something big is going on. Thousands of Miltary personnel all over the country are being sent to all the major cities in the country. Detroit....Philadelphia...D.C...Los Angeles....etc. He told me that he went up to a bunch of soldiers and asked them why they were being sent to the cities and they responded "We don't know, we are just obeying orders." I have also gotten word of major military activity on the streets of Montana". Has anyone seen anything?

Gonorrhea 'superbug' spreading; is it headed for U.S.?

A new "superbug" strain of gonorrhea, seemingly resistant to all known antibiotics, could be headed for the United States as the sexually transmitted disease continues its global march. There have been no known cases within the U.S. so far. But more countries, including Britain, Australia and France, are reporting instances of gonorrhea that are impervious to cephalosporin antibiotics -- the drugs normally used to snuff out the most serious cases. “We certainly are worried about importation of resistance,” Dr. Gail Bolan, director of...

Gay Danish couples win right to marry in church

The country's parliament voted through the new law on same-sex marriage by a large majority, making it mandatory for all churches to conduct gay marriages. Denmark's church minister, Manu Sareen, called the vote "historic". "I think it's very important to give all members of the church the possibility to get married. Today, it's only heterosexual couples." Under the law, individual priests can refuse to carry out the ceremony, but the local bishop must arrange a replacement for their church. The far-Right Danish People's Party mounted a strong...

The massive shoal started washing up at the fishing port of Ohara, on Japan's west-facing North Pacific Ocean coast, on June 3 and quickly turned the sea red. Since then the bizarre phenomenon gone has rapidly got out of control. There are now so many dead fish that locals in the town in Isumi City, Chiba Prefecture, are having to truck the rotting remains to landfills. And yet still more dead sardines keep washing up on shore...

Jerusalem to become Egypt’s capital under Mursi’s rule, says Muslim cleric

If Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Mursi became president, Egypt’s new capital will no more be Cairo, but the new capital will be Jerusalem, a prominent Egyptian cleric said at a presidential campaign rally, which was aired by an Egyptian private TV channel. “Our capital shall not be Cairo, Mecca or Medina. It shall be Jerusalem with God’s will. Our chants shall be: ‘millions of martyrs will march towards Jerusalem’,” prominent cleric Safwat Hagazy said, according to the video aired by Egypt’s religious Annas TV on Tuesday. The video...
