Proverbs 22:3 NLT

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it))) --

Leaks confirm death of top Russian general in Syria

Contrary to an official denial on Moscow’s behalf, leaked documents aired by Al Arabiya suggest that a Russian military general who worked as a military advisor to the Syrian regime was indeed killed by opposition forces on Aug. Maj. Gen. Vladimir Kojève was reportedly killed when opposition Free Syrian Army raided his car. Following his death, a number of documents were obtained from his personal briefcase which was found inside his vehicle. These documents were eventually leaked among others to Al Arabiya from opposition sources...

1,500 ministers to preach on politics - Movement challenges IRS ban on naming names from pulpit

The number of pastors standing up for their right to preach from their pulpits on politics is surging. They call a ban on such speech a “cultural myth.” In 2008, 35 pastors defied the IRS, which holds the position that church “organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.” The number of pastors boldly opposing the IRS rule grew to 539 in 2011 and is expected to be more than 1,500 on Oct. 7, during what...

Gay pride march banned in Belgrade

Police have banned a gay pride parade in Belgrade planned for the weekend, citing security concerns. Boban Stojanovic, a gay rights activist and one of the parade's organisers, said the ban "has shown that the state has once again backed down before hooligans and violence". Patriarch Irinej, the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, had urged the government to ban the event, describing it as a "parade of shame" that casts a "moral shadow" on the nation. In 2010 more than 100 people were injured when right-wing groups attacked a gay pride...

East Coast Military Bases Being Evacuated Under Cover Of Darkness: Confirmed By Inside Sources

 - At the 8 minute 30 second mark of the video below, John Moore takes a call from a caller wondering if John had received any further information about ‘anything happening on the East Coast’. John responds “well, we did get an update last night, nothing shocking news so much as confirmation of things we’re getting from other sources. Information that first of all the East Coast military bases are being evacuated under the cover of darkness in the middle of the night using secondary roads. Of course, they aren’t using the word evacuate, that’s my terminology, but they’re relocating, taking out the heavy, expensive equipment and supplies and they’re going to high ground. And, second confirmation when we wake up one morning and there’s Canadian and Mexican troops in the United States to help us in our ‘time of need’, then we’ll know that we’re real close to everything falling apart. So that’s the confirmations we got yesterday afternoon.” Further..”and they’ll be invited in by the Communist president that we’ve got…”
Also, John gets deeply into “the second most important story in 2000 years, confirmed by US Navy sources… the Gulf Stream stopped… this one event changes everything…”

Sacre bleu! Obama touting French mantra of 'economic patriotism' - but does that mean a 75 PER CENT tax rate?

President Barack Obama has been touting a new buzzword in his quest to revive the economy but is the term synonymous with government takeover and sky high tax rates? As he traded jabs with Mitt Romney on the debate stage in Colorado last night, the president spoke of his plans to combat the recession by boosting the middle class. Obama asked: 'Are we going to double down on the top-down economic policies that helped to get us into this mess? Or do we embrace a new economic patriotism that says America does best when the middle... /

Turkish parliament approves military intervention in Syria

The Turkish parliament on Thursday approved a government proposal to use military force against Syria “when necessary” in response to Wednesday’s cross-border bombardment that killed five civilians. In an emergency meeting of parliament convened on Thursday morning, the Grand National Assembly voted 320-129 in favor of a bill calling for “a one-year-long permission to make the necessary arrangements for sending the Turkish Armed Forces” into Syria in light of the “negative impact of the ongoing crisis in Syria on our national... /

Gas Prices Are Exploding In California And Experts Expect Them To Get A Lot Worse

When Errol Emrich drove by a Shell station in his San Jose neighborhood last weekend, regular gas was selling for $4.05 a gallon. On Monday, it was $4.15. On Tuesday, $4.25. And this weekend? Analysts say it could reach a whopping $4.40. Problems at California refineries have slashed supplies across the state, cutting fuel production and raising wholesale prices -- the price stations pay for their gasoline -- by as much as 73 cents, to levels not seen since 2007. And that almost certainly will boost prices at the pump again soon. "California gasoline... /

World food prices near crisis levels

World food prices rose in September and are moving nearer to levels reached during the 2008 food crisis. The United Nations food agency reported on Thursday that the worst drought in more than 50 years in the United States had sent corn and soybean prices to record highs over the summer, and, coupled with drought in Russia and other Black Sea exporting countries, raised fears of a renewed crisis. The Food and Agriculture Organisation's (FAO) price index, which measures monthly price changes for a food basket of cereals, oilseeds, dairy... /

New flyover footage shows road dissolving into giant Louisiana sinkhole

As Assumption Parish officials reported Thursday that they still await results from more testing since the sinkhole cavern entry, new Louisiana State Police helicopter flyover footage shows that the nearby grass road is dissolving into the giant Bayou Corne slurry hole that has now consumed 4 acres. (Watch the official October 2 flyover YouTube video embedded on this page at the left.) The sinkhole flyovers are conducted Mondays and Thursdays as parish officials continue to monitor the investigation at the sinkhole that has expanded to four... /

The company announced at its huge confab today for Starbucks store managers that customers will be able to buy their coffee using Square Wallet starting in early November.
