Proverbs 22:3 NLT

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

Key Question Never Asked In NSA Probe

It should come as no surprise to anyone to have reinforced the idea our federal government has been shredding the Constitution. The millions of pages of regulations are bound to have a few oversteps, right?

But this past weekend, after watching the various "Honorable" Senators and Representatives dutifully come forward for interview after interview with press people to offer opinions of the National Security Agency "mistakes", screaming at the TV was no longer an option--I simply lost my voice.

The cretins who pass as 'members of the press' missed the heart of the matter--as did the elected people who came forward.

This should not be a case of did the NSA make thousands of mistakes or did the NSA overstep its authority. The unasked question should have been, "You 'Honorable So-and-so' took an oath when assuming your duties to uphold the Constitution of the United States, did you not?

"Okay, then how do you justify even one overstep by the NSA? There is nowhere in the Constitution where this agency can be legitimate since there is nowhere where the word "security" ever appears. It is implied only by giving you the authorization to procure for an Army and Navy in order to preserve the Union and provide for the common defence but how do you justify defending even one breach of American privacy granted by the very document you are sworn to uphold and protect?"

The press should have made the elected bumbler explain how he can continue his position as an elected official when he has violated--directly and repeatedly--his official duty to uphold the Constitution which he swore an oath to do. That is grounds for immediate disbandment of the three branches--Congress, the Court and Executive--in a group treason case and establish a new election of people who haven't committed such a crime.

The Government belongs to "We the People" not to those political bombasts who can no longer see the forest for the trees. They are so cognizant of protecting their own power base that they have lost all usefulness. None of the three branches does the job which is set forth in the Constitution for it. None of the three branches has the integrity or will to do so any longer.

But nobody asked the right question. Not one of the talking heads had the courage to stand up to protect the Constitution. Maybe it is because they haven't read the document, maybe it is because they don't want to offend a member of the elected class or maybe those 'maybes' are there so they can keep their meaningless press job. Whatever the reason, America is the big loser when a legitimate question goes unasked.

The liberal press won't ask the question because their side enjoys the most power right now. But the alleged Conservative voices like Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, etc. are parties to the same dishonesty because they didn't ask the question either.

It is proper to ask inane questions or give inane answers if you are not an Elected or a member of the Fourth Estate. You have no responsibility beyond obtaining Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. But when you run for office and win, when you decide to become a 'journalist' and a member of the press as it is intended in the First Amendment, you have a duty to follow the guidelines of the Constitution at the risk of all else.

There is no dictator here, no king, no despot, no tyrant only elected individuals. If they don't want to adhere to the oath they took, then what use are they? What purpose do they serve this country?

Maybe it is time we introduce a few other words into the conversation of the day. Words that go: When in the course of human events...

Do you think they'd hear us then?

"I have sworn on the altar of God eternal hostility to every form of tyranny over the mind of man."--Thomas Jefferson
