I WOULD LIKE YOU TO BRING THIS BACK UP FOR RECONSIDERATION: I was worried about a legal challenge costing the city.
The sign ordinance that is under the international UDC Codes is in direct violation of the first amendment rights of the US Constitution. I said this back when the city planning had there UDC review in Feb. at 12PM at night.
The vote was 5 to 3 in favor of the amendment that would have deregulated the sign ordinance, then Mayor Kaysen voted no making it four against. But your rules require 6 votes for the amendment to pass? Jimmy Valdez should have a chance to vote ......

On 2nd reading one of the council members said the city attorney, in a memo sent to the council, stated that he, the city attorney, had some issues with it being unconstitutional in the way it was written in the UDC codes. It needs fix.....
Where do we go from here? Letting it go back to being unconstitutional is not expectable. Can it be brought up in other business for reconsideration? There needs to be six votes; you had five, and one member, Jimmy Valdez, was absent on 2nd and third reading.

Because of this fact, would you consider one more try with a full council? It seems wise to pass the Shanor ammendment to stop a law suit.

OBAMA SEIZES HOMES OF AMERICANS TO GIVE TO INDIANS IN WYOMING -
It appears that Obama’s habitual abuse of his executive action is beginning to rub off on the rest of his administration. His EPA soldiers are now telling a town in Wyoming that they no longer have the right to live there. And what’s worse? They’re giving away that land that the residents rightfully bought to other people.
The town of Riverton, Wyoming has been an issue for quite some time with regards to Indians and the “white man.” According to local Indians, the 1 million acre plot the town sits on should rightfully be added to their reservation. - This is an alarming action when you have a federal agency step in and start to undo congressional acts that has really been our history for 108 years … with the stroke of a pen without talking to the biggest groups impacted, and that would be the city of Riverton and the state of Wyoming.”
