York, England...strange weather in England - A Letter from a friend who has cousin in England here is His Letter.

It has been a funny year here, the spring was so hot and warm we had
Strawberries in April - it was very dry then the rains came and everything
started to grow - they are now harvesting the apple crop - very early again.
This morning a five o'clock it was thick with fog just like an early Autumn -
are the season's changing?

If so it will be a very long winter - already the evenings are beginning to
draw in earlier each night - lighting up time was ten o'clock around
mid-summers day 21st June - at least the lawns are looking better this year
and the roses had had a good season thus far.

We hope and trust you have survived all the strange weather related storms etc
that plague us these days - I think the States have had a share of these
happenings this year. It was very hot here last month - then it got cold and
wet and now it is rather hot again some days but things look like they are
going into Autumn - strange.
